We often see women at the worst time in their lives. Through our Prison Services, our advocates can offer support and hope to individuals to build their lives back up and strengthen their community ties. Our work within prisons exists to enhance our ongoing community services, empowering women beyond the prison walls, and through the gate.
Sentenced/Unsentenced Services
Our Advance Prison Services work within HMP Peterborough and HMP Bronzefield to provide support to women within the prison setting, released to London and our regions.
Advance supports women who are facing urgent release, unsentenced, and women being held on remand.
We provide pre-release support focused on:
- Accommodation
- Finance
- Debt & benefits
- Family & significant others
- Social inclusion.
Advance Yourself Health Project
Neurodiversity Services
Advance is supporting women who are diagnosed or are on a pathway to diagnosis of a neurodiverse condition.
Advance is working alongside HMP Bronzefield to offer an enhanced person-centred service to women with neurodiversity needs. We will ensure that women are supported whilst in HMP Bronzefield, and this support continues into the community, to ensure continuity of care.
Loss & Bereavement Services
Advance is supporting women in HMP Bronzefield with their experiences of loss – this is more than the loss of a child – it encompasses all loss such as your home, your identity, access to your friends, your freedom.
