A safe, just and equal world for women

Advance Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement 2021 to 2022

August 31, 2021
Advance releases its statement in reference to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 although Advance currently has a turnover lower than the amount prescribed by the Secretary of State.

Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking and forced labour. Advance has a zero tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically, with integrity and transparency in all business dealings and to putting effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery taking place within the business or our supply chain.

About our charity

Our vision is a world in which women and children lead safe, equal, violence-free lives so that they can flourish and actively contribute to society. We do this through our mission of saving and changing lives, by working with women who experience domestic abuse to be safe and take control of their lives, and women who have committed crime or are at risk of offending to break the cycle.

Our approach is holistic and centred on the survivor, working with them to develop a safety and support plan that responds to their needs and empowers them, on the often long journey to recovery from the trauma of their experiences.

Our core values of collaboration, accountability, listening, empowerment, and innovation commit Advance and each of its colleagues to creating and ensuring a non-discriminatory, positive, open, inclusive, responsive, and respectful working environment. We want all our staff to feel confident that they can disclose any wrongdoing without any risk to themselves or their service users.

The statement outlines the steps Advance has taken and continues to take to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place within its workplace or supply chain.
