Held across our Women’s Centres and in local community venues, this year’s events focused on the vital importance of safe spaces. We invited attendees to see our services through the eyes of the women we support, through interactive workshops and conversations that highlighted the transformative power of trauma-informed, gender-responsive care.
Building on the theme from the 2024 Lunch & Learn Series, exploring the connection between domestic abuse and women’s contact with the criminal justice system, this year’s focus allowed for deeper engagement and reflection. Across all our services in Kent, Essex & Hertfordshire, London (North, West, and East), Thames Valley, and Hampshire, partners took part in group activities that gave insight into how women receive support with Advance.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the meaningful discussions and shared learning.

About Advance
- Advance’s vision is a world in which women and children lead safe, equal, violence-free lives so that they can flourish and actively contribute to society. The charity works with women who experience domestic abuse to be safe and take control of their lives, and women who have committed crime or are at risk of offending to break the cycle.
- As well as providing direct support, Advance works with statutory services, government agencies and other women’s charities to ensure a holistic approach to the issues these women face.
- Women must be referred to Advance, via statutory services or the charity’s self-referral scheme. For more information about who Advance is able to support, please visit Get help
