In response to the news that the Mayor of London has awarded Advance funding to deliver vital housing advocacy and support to women affected by domestic abuse, our CEO, Niki Scordi, said,
“We are delighted that the Mayor’s office is funding Advance’s Whole Housing Service to support women experiencing domestic abuse so that they can stay safe wherever they live – whether that is in their own homes or elsewhere.
“All women deserve and need to feel and be safe and this is the principle at the centre of the Whole Housing Approach, which we pioneered nationally with Standing Together Against Domestic Abuse and other organisations.
“We are very excited to work alongside our fantastic partners, Al Hasaniya, Asian Women’s Resource Centre, Galop, Latin American Women’s Rights Service, and Woman’s Trust to deliver this holistic, specialist service. Together, we will meet the local needs of women and communities affected by domestic abuse, across our 11 partnering London boroughs: Brent, Camden, Ealing, Hackney, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Havering, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster.”
