A safe, just and equal world for women

Advance and London’s Violence Reduction Unit co-host event

December 4, 2025
Advance and London’s Violence Reduction Unit co-hosted an event at City Hall as part of the 16 Days of Activism campaign. Advance staff were joined by service users for the event, which included creating a powerful mural which will be gifted to Lib Peck, Director of the VRU.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, celebrate one another, and express ourselves through art. City Hall is also a host of Walking in her Shoes, a collection of photographs taken by women and girls supported by Advance.
We’re excited to share that these will be available on our website at the end of the 16 Days.
Keep an eye on our socials for updates and details on where you can view the photographic exhibition in person.

Deborah Stillman, Senior Service Manager of Criminal Justice Services London and Head of Young Women and Girls services at Advance, said:
“The grandparents of one of our Young Women and Girls clients who attended the event told me afterwards ‘Please thank your team for making her feel so at ease and relaxed at the event last night. She was over the moon with all the goodies she came home with too.’ ”
